Arvel Hair (“Arvel Hair,” “we,” “us”) is a hair salon at 7500 NE 4th Ct, Unit 102, Miami, FL 33138. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit arvelhair.com, book an appointment, send us an inquiry, or sign up for our news, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, contact us at contact@arvelhair.com or 305-613-6551.

Information we collect

When you book an appointment. Our online booking runs on Square, our booking and payment provider. We collect your first and last name, mobile phone number and email address, the services, stylist, date and time you choose, and any note you add. Returning clients may book with just a phone number; we use it to find your existing client record in Square.

Card on file. New clients are asked to keep a card on file. Your card number is entered into a secure form provided by Square and goes straight to Square. Arvel Hair never sees or stores your full card number; we can see only basic details such as the card brand and last four digits in Square.

Cancellation policy. When you book, you agree to our cancellation policy, and we keep a record that you agreed. If you do not show up, or cancel or reschedule less than 48 hours before your appointment, the card on file may be charged $100. We keep the booking, cancellation and charge records needed to apply this policy and to respond to questions or disputes.

Inquiry and callback forms. If you send us an extensions inquiry or ask us to call you back, we collect what you enter, such as your name, phone number, email, the service you are interested in and your message. On the extensions inquiry form you can optionally upload up to three photos of your current hair. Before upload, your phone or browser shrinks the photos, and we remove hidden photo data (such as GPS location). Photos are stored in a private folder on our website that only salon staff can open; they are not published.

Newsletter and text sign-up. If you subscribe on our website, we collect your name, email address and mobile number. By subscribing you agree to receive marketing emails and text messages from Arvel Hair about news, offers and blog posts. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of buying anything. You can unsubscribe at any time: click “unsubscribe” in any email, reply STOP to any text message (reply HELP for help), or email contact@arvelhair.com.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours and the tools listed below collect technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, pages you view, the page that sent you to us, and actions such as starting or completing a booking. We do not use this to identify you by name.

Cookies and pixels

We use cookies and similar tools from Google and Meta to understand site visits and improve our ads:

  • Google Analytics – shows us how visitors use the site (for example, which pages are popular).
  • Google Ads – tells us when a visit from one of our Google ads leads to a booking, so we can measure and improve our ads.
  • Google Tag Manager – a tool we use to manage these tags. It does not collect information about you on its own.
  • Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) – measures visits and bookings from our Meta ads and helps show our ads to people who may be interested. If enabled in our settings, a booking may send Meta a scrambled (hashed) version of your email and phone number to match the booking to an ad; Meta does not receive them in readable form from us.

When a booking is completed, we send these tools the booking event, the service names and an estimated value, but not your name, email, phone number or card details in readable form.

How to opt out

  • Our cookie notice. Click Decline on the notice at the bottom of the site. We save your choice in a cookie (arvel_consent) for 12 months. After that, our website does not load the Meta Pixel or send booking events, and we tell Google tags not to use cookies for ads or analytics. If you clear your cookies, you will need to choose again.
  • Global Privacy Control. If your browser or an extension sends the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as Decline automatically.
  • Google. Manage ad personalization at My Ad Center (https://myadcenter.google.com/) or Google Ads Settings (https://adssettings.google.com/). You can also install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
  • Meta. Manage your ad preferences at https://www.facebook.com/adpreferences/ and in Accounts Center (https://accountscenter.facebook.com/ad_preferences).
  • Your browser. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings.

How we use your information

  • To book, confirm, change and remind you about appointments, and to provide your services.
  • To keep a card on file and apply our cancellation policy.
  • To reply to your inquiries and callback requests, including reviewing photos you send to plan extensions or color.
  • To send you emails and texts you signed up for (until you unsubscribe).
  • To understand how our website is used, measure our ads and improve both.
  • To keep our website and forms secure and prevent spam and abuse.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting requirements.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with other businesses for their own marketing. We share it only with service providers that help us run the salon:

  • Square – appointment booking, client records, card on file and payments.
  • Google – Google Workspace for our business email (contact@arvelhair.com), plus Google Analytics, Google Ads and Google Tag Manager as described above.
  • Meta – the Meta Pixel as described above.
  • Our website host and the services that deliver our email and text messages.

We may also share information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business.

How long we keep information

  • Booking, client and payment records: kept in Square for as long as you are a client and as long as needed for tax, accounting and legal reasons.
  • Inquiries, callback requests and photos: kept for up to 2 years after our last contact with you, unless you become a client or ask us to delete them sooner.
  • Newsletter and text subscriptions: kept until you unsubscribe; we keep a record of the opt-out so we do not contact you again.
  • Your cookie choice: 12 months. Google and Meta keep data under their own policies.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, Square’s secure card form, and access limited to salon staff. No website or system is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Our website and online booking are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian should book for a minor. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop marketing messages, by emailing contact@arvelhair.com or calling 305-613-6551. We may need to keep some records (for example, payment records) where the law requires it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date above and post the new version on this page.
